Solar Millennium AG filed for insolvency on 14 December 2011. On 1 March 2012, insolvency proceedings were opened. The Nuremberg-based lawyer Volker Boehm of Schultze & Braun was appointed insolvency manager.
An investor process was initiated with the objective to sell the company or individual businesses at the highest possible price for the benefit of the creditors.
