Projects create Power Plants.
Project companies are set up in the location countries where the power plants are planned. They are the legal entities for the land procurement and the approval procedures. They also later become the holding companies for the solar thermal power plants.
The initial project development phases are carried out by Solar Millennium AG or the regional project development companies. As soon as a specific "degree of maturity" is reached in a power plant project, a project development company is formed to carry out the further development and all of the legally relevant negotiations and activities required for the power plant construction and operation.
Solar Millennium integrates partner companies into the power plant projects through the sale of shares in the project companies. Solar Millennium currently holds shares in several project companies in several of our operating locations.
